Creative Things to Do in East Austin This Weekend

East Austin has a certain pull. The murals, the food trucks, the tucked-away studios and galleries. It’s the part of town where you can wander, explore, and stumble into something interesting without trying very hard.

If you’re planning a weekend outing and want something creative, low-pressure, and genuinely fun, East Austin is a great place to start. You can grab food, browse local art, make something with your hands, or spend time in spaces that feel a little off the beaten path.

And yes, our corner of the neighborhood happens to be one of those spots.

Sometimes the best way to spend a weekend is by doing something with your hands. Our classes are beginner-friendly and very relaxed, which makes them perfect when you want a creative experience that doesn’t feel stuffy.

You can learn bead stringing, wire wrapping, charm assembly, or try something new just for the fun of it. Every class is designed to help you unwind, make something personal and enjoy the moment.

If you like the idea of leaving with a piece you’ll actually wear, this is a great place to start.

Not every night out needs crowded bars or complicated plans. If you’re looking for something playful and memorable, you can book private time in our studio and create your own jewelry experience with friends or someone special.

Think music, snacks, a curated bead selection and space to hang out and make something together. It’s simple, low-key and surprisingly fun.

If you're celebrating something this weekend and need a place to gather, our studio is available for private parties and events. You can bring your own setup or let us handle everything.

We’ve hosted birthdays, creative meet-ups, company outings and small groups who just want to try something new. It’s an easy way to bring people together without needing a ton of planning.

We also offer mobile bead bars if you’d rather have the experience in your own space.

Once you finish your class or studio time, walk a few steps over to the Vegan Nom food court. It’s one of those East Austin spots that instantly puts you in a good mood. Bright colors, picnic tables, and a whole lineup of plant-based food trucks.

It’s an easy place to wander over to for food. Tacos, pizza, sandwiches or an iced matcha if you’re in the mood for something lighter.

Our studio sits inside the 2324 creative complex, which is home to artists, photographers, small businesses, and local makers. If the doors are open, take a walk and peek inside.

You never know what you’ll find, and half the charm is discovering something new each time.

It’s a simple way to stretch out your visit and get a feel for the creative community within our space.

6. Check Out a Local Market or Pop-Up Nearby

East Austin always has something happening on weekends.

You might find a vintage market, a record pop-up, or a maker fair just a few blocks away.

If you're already out exploring, keep your eyes open. The 78702 district has a way of surprising you.
